About Us

Supernova Oncology Sanctuary's Mission:

  • To empower people affected by cancer
  • To provide safe traditional medicine-approved complementary oncology services
  • To create a sense of community and belonging for people affected by cancer in a safe, discrimination and infection-free center
  • To enable people affected by cancer to communicate, learn, and find peace and hope

The main objective of Supernova Oncology Sanctuary (SOS) is to create a unique inviting space where people affected by cancer can find acceptance and reassurance by meeting and collaborating with others who are living with similar circumstances. SOS will be distinctive as it will be fully overseen by Dr. Escalon, a board-certified medical oncologist. Dr. Escalon’s role will be to help guide patients when choosing traditional and alternative therapies without judgment but always with their safety at the forefront. She will work closely with patients’ treating oncologists.

SOS will provide safe, oncologist-approved complementary and support services. SOS will offer three types of services: Body, Mind, and Soul. Body will be run by a licensed dietitian and have an organic vegan coffee shop in a lounge atmosphere, Soul will be managed by a licensed psychotherapist, Dr. Kumar. and will include support groups, workshops, yoga and dance classes. Mind will be run by a board-certified medical oncologist, Dr. Escalon, and offer access to medical journals and reputable sources of information about cancer. Patients can conduct research about their illness and get proper guidance.
